Celebrity Line-Up Released For Vancouver MMA

VANCOUVER –Mixed Martial Arts Expo released its
celebrity line-up today for its June 11 – 12 event at
the prestigious Vancouver Convention Centre in British
Columbia.

Now in its seventh year MMA Expo brings to
Vancouver a high-energy show with the reputation for
delivering action-oriented tournaments, interactive
exhibits and some of the hottest celebrities in MMA – the
fastest growing sport in the world.

event to Vancouver”, stated Gerald Chopik, founder of MMA
Expo and president of Fight Media’s new Events Division.

For fans looking to get photos and
autographs with MMA stars there is a long list of great
names on the Vancouver roster: Carlos Newton, Canada’s
first-ever UFC Champion; Shonie Carter, MMA veteran of
over 70 fights and holder of 16 belts; Jason “The Athlete”
MacDonald fresh from an impressive win at UFC Toronto;
also coming off an outstanding 20-second KO at UFC
Toronto, Vladimir Matyushenko; rising star 6′ 11″ Stefan
“Skyscraper” Struve; Brendan “The Hybrid” Schaub; former
UFC Welterweight Champion, Matt “The Terror” Serra
sponsored by Xyience; and appearing at the HEADRUSH booth,
former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Shane Carwin.
For serious bragging rights Paradise Warriors Retreat on
the show floor offers the unique opportunity for
on-the-mat seminars with Jake Shields, Gilbert Melendez
and legendary coaches Shawn Tomkins, Firas Zahabi and Pat
Miletich. No experience necessary. PWR instructors will
also be available for autographs and photos through the
weekend.
Exhibits include martial arts training facilities,
suppliers of equipment, gear and apparel, distributors of
supplements, nutrition products and energy drinks, MMA
media, as well as fight promoters, the MMA Expo Hottie
models and the introduction of the new Rockst*r Lager.
Also featured on the MMA Expo Vancouver show floor are
four action-packed martial arts tournaments held under the
umbrella of the West Coast Combat Championships.
Round-robin competitions showcase the diverse styles of
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, No Gi Grappling, WKC Continuous
Sparring and Amateur Mixed Martial Arts. Spectators have
access to all tournaments with general admission to the
Expo.
Admission to MMA Expo is $20 including tax. Celebrity
