Aikido - Aikido is a traditional Japanese
martial art with a focus on neutralizing aggression
and render the attacker harmless. The word Aikido
contains three elements: “ai”- harmony or
coordination, “ki” the spirit or energy and “do”-
the method or way. The power of Aikido is not found
in huge muscle strength but rather in the correct
and natural method of coordinating the mind and
body. Both men and women can benefit from the
regular practice of Aikido- the way of harmony.
Learning self- defense is only one aspect. Aikido
can be used as a tool for stress reduction, health,
fitness and spiritual development.
The basic idea of Aikido is to blend with and
redirect an opponent’s attack, which requires the
opponent to take a full fall on the mat. This can be
done in a safe manner and is taught by the
instructors. Participants switch between the “nage”
(thrower) and “uke” (one who is thrown) roles in
order to learn both how to execute the technique.

your golf game.

implementing foundational kettlebell movements into
your routine can take your conditioning and
peformance to the next level. The demo covers the
kettlebell swing which is the basis for advanced
exercises like the snatch and the clean. It is also
