THE NOLA Veggie Fest
Organizers are a group of local vegans and vegetarians who have
come together to spread the word about our food choices.
Some of us became veg for reasons of health, and some as a
protest against animal cruelty in the food production
industry. Our group currently includes employees (paid or
volunteer) of the Humane Society of Louisiana, PETA, and
Farm Sanctuary. We are authors, attorneys, natural foods
sales reps, chefs, doctors, musicians, and more.
Some of the fun things they do: eat at restaurants with
vegetarian offerings, hand out leaflets, give talks to
groups, participate in community markets, and volunteer at
fund-raising events and host the annual NOLA Veggie Fest-
a Vegan Food Festival. |
