Exotic Fitness & Beauty Expo, Art and Pole Showcase
Benefits the Mawi Family and Kai Family Memorial Funds

The Expo will culminate with the Art & Pole Showcase at the Frederick Indoor Sports Center at 7:30 PM, featuring Phoenix Kazree. The goal is to promote pole fitness in a positive light, displaying the beauty that is produced by the art of pole in its simplest form: ballet and gymnastics combined. In addition we aim to provide performance opportunities to local pole lovers without the pressure of competition.

A portion of the profits of this event will benefit the Mawi Family and Kai Family Memorial Funds (Frederick High School students whose only parent/guardian were killed in the tragic car accident on I-70 over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend).

WHO: Tammy Frazier is the founder and co-owner of A Pole New You, LLC, Greater Frederick’s original source for pole fitness. John Chaney is the President of Chaney Entertainment, LLC, known for bringing entertainment to Frederick in the way of comedy shows, gospel shows, and most recently singer, Stacy Lattisaw Jackson’s book signing. Headlining workshop instructor and performer, Phoenix Kazree is the 2011 California Pole Dance Champion, 2011 Pole Dancing Universe Amateur Champion, 2nd place winner of the 2011 American Pole Fitness Championships, and semi-finals competitor in the 2012 International Pole Championship to be held in Hong Kong in March.

WHAT: Workshops and demonstrations in a variety of exotic fitness styles such as pole fitness, belly dancing, chair dancing, Zumba, and more. Admission to this event and most workshops are free. Exhibits by top area beauty and fashion vendors are included to help you discover a new you in the New Year. Phoenix Kazree will be instructing three workshops. A reception will be held prior to the start of the Art and Pole Showcase where sponsors and participants can mingle. In addition to Phoenix Kazree, A Pole New You, LLC’s newly formed dance troupe, PNY Flying High Dance Troupe will be debuted. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.

WHEN: The Resolve This! Exotic Fitness & Beauty Expo will be held Saturday, January 7, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Mixer Reception will be held from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM. The Art and Pole Showcase will begin at 7:30 PM.

WHERE: All events will be held at the Frederick Indoor Sports Center (FISC), 1845 Brookfield Court, Frederick, MD 21701.The Resolve This! Exotic Fitness & Beauty Expo will be held on the 2nd floor. The reception will be in the lounge area, and the Art and Pole Showcase will be held on the North Field.

WHY: The goal of the event is to help women stick to their workouts by making them fun, bring awareness to pole fitness and aerial arts, and to raise money for Mawi Family and Kai Family Memorial Funds.
