Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of the conference, the participant
will be able to:
* Understand relevant head and neck anatomy issues.
* Provide information on current imaging techniques and
choosing the most appropriate studies for imaging the head
and neck.
* Discuss differential diagnoses of the head and neck
based on imaging characteristics of pathology.
This comprehensive course in head and neck imaging is
intended to give radiologists an in depth exposure to head
and neck anatomy, diagnoses, and important differential
diagnoses.
The course is divided into a mix of didactic lectures on
head and neck imaging issues, protocols, and diseases,
with special sessions on vital differential diagnoses.
This will be reinforced with numerous interactive case
reviews covering unknown head and neck cases correlating
with the didactic sessions. This time is designed to
present the participant with hundreds of individual case
examples of head and neck lesions. Case presentations will
be within a format with each individual case initially
viewed as an unknown, maximizing the faculty-participant
dynamic.
This course is specifically designed for head and neck
clinicians and general radiologists, as well as head and
neck surgeons, and specialized head and neck
neuroradiologists in both academic and non-academic
environments.
This unique, intensive week long course allows an
unprecedented experience for registrants to personally
discuss individual cases with the authors of best selling
and unmatched textbooks on head and neck imaging.
Participants will also have the opportunity to bring their
own unknown cases for discussion with these head and neck
imaging experts.
The goal of this conference, as with all the University of
Utah Neuroradiology conferences, is to give the
participants a wealth of practical knowledge that can be
used immediately in their practice through the
presentation and discussion of an exhaustive array of
pathologies with a plethora of cases.
Accreditation:
The University of Utah School of Medicine is
accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education to provide continuing medical education
for physicians.
